The TaiwanCALL 2025 conference, themed "Reclaiming Learner and Teacher Agency in the Age of AI and Emerging Technologies," explores how artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technologies are transforming language learning and fostering a globally interconnected educational landscape. As AI reshapes learning, we seek to balance technological advancements with human agency, ensuring that educators and learners remain central to pedagogical decision-making. We invite distinguished scholars, early-career researchers, and graduate students worldwide to discuss applications, challenges, and implications of emerging technologies for language education. The conference also underscores the importance of innovative technologies, empowering participants with essential knowledge to critically navigate and shape the future of CALL.

The conference will cover topics including the application of AI and technology integration in language learning, intercultural and multimodal learning through technology, and research and professional development in technology-enhanced language teaching. Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, paper presentations, poster sessions and workshops, the conference aims to expand participants' research and teaching horizons and capabilities.
